This deck includes several example Targeted Sentence Cards for learning Japanese. The cards were made using mpvacious, a subs2srs-like user-script for mpv that allows you to quickly mine sentences while watching your favorite TV show. This method is very fast and produces high quality sentence cards with enough context to make reviewing them fun. You can use the included card templates for your own sentence mining, with the user-script or without.

The deck also contains example Simple Word Cards that are supposed to be used for studying concrete nouns.

TSC Card type 1: Recognition
In the question field, there is an example sentence. The sentence has one target word or phrase (a word that you don't know yet). I usually highlight the target word in bold. In the answer field, you can put the definitions and pronunciations of the target word. The note type also contains a separate field for japanese pitch accent pattern. I use this Anki add-on to generate pitch accents.

TSC Card type 2: Production
This card type is designed to teach you how to write the target word. To make a production card select the desired note in the Anki Browser and fill the MakeProductionCard field with any text you like. The target word on the new card is replaced with its kana reading and your goal is to write it in kanji. The back of the card includes a stroke order diagram for the target word.

SWC card type: Recognition
The front side contains only the target word. The back contains definitions, audio, pictures, etc. Word cards are used to study concrete nouns.
Fonts
The note types included in this deck come with embedded Japanese fonts. The fonts will be copied to your collection.media folder after installation.
